Do I need a COVID-19 fit to fly certificate?
A COVID-19 fit to fly certificate will show your airline that you are fit and well, and have no symptoms of COVID-19 present. It will also show the country that you are intending to travel to that you have a low risk of spreading coronavirus in their country. Many airlines and countries have put restrictions on travel from the UK in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

How long does a fit to fly certificate last?
Your fit to fly certificate shows the airline that you are fit and able to fly at the time of your flight. Your result may not be accepted, therefore, if it was achieved weeks or even months before you are supposed to be travelling. Therefore, you will need a new one for every time you intend to fly. Your certificate will show the date and time at which you took your sample, typically this has to be no sooner than 48-72 hours before departure, but this should be checked with your airline and destination country.
