If you are planning to travel abroad as a family over Easter, then being up to date on the newest travel restrictions will be the best way to choose the right destination for you.

April 2022 is actually one of the best months to travel that we’ve had for a long time as the COVID pandemic threat remains low, and so most entry requirements are lenient (apart from China and the USA).

Let’s take a closer look at some of the most popular destinations for holidays:

Australia

Australia continues to be the best option for visiting Oceania. Fully vaccinated travellers can holiday in Australia if they can show a negative COVID-19 test result.

Canada

Canada is only allowing fully vaccinated tourists to visit by air or land. Since April 1st 2022, fully vaccinated travellers to Canada do not have to obtain a negative arrival test, but they must still use the ArriveCAN app.

Caribbean Islands

Entry requirements for the Caribbean are a patchwork of strict guidelines and minimal testing requirements. Some of the most lenient islands include:

  • Aruba
  • Curacao
  • Dominican Republic
  • Grenada

Despite not requiring any testing requirements, the country may require visitors to carry health insurance which will cover any COVID-19 expenses during the visit.

The Bahamas and Jamaica are also relatively easy to enter if you have proof of a negative COVID test taken before arrival.

Europe

The following European nations do not require proof of a vaccine or a negative pre-arrival test:

  • Denmark
  • Hungary
  • Iceland
  • Ireland
  • Moldova
  • Montenegro
  • Norway
  • Romania
  • Slovenia
  • Sweden

Latin America

One of the most popular Latin American destinations, Costa Rica, has not required mandatory testing or proof of vaccination since April 1st 2022, but the country recommends that you purchase coronavirus travel insurance.

El Salvador also does not have any inbound testing or vaccine requirements for tourists.

The following countries do not require pre-arrival testing for tourists that are fully vaccinated:

  • Belize
  • Columbia
  • Ecuador
  • Guatemala
  • Honduras
  • Panama
  • Peru

Although they do require a negative lateral flow test result for unvaccinated travellers.

Mexico

Mexico continues to not require a mandatory vaccine or pre-arrival test to enter.

If you are looking to travel abroad this Easter, then are several places in the Caribbean, Europe and Latin America that have minimal entry requirements. Fit2FlyTest has lateral flow tests for holidays if they are needed for your destination.
